Showroom Sales Consultant
Full-time Sales Consultants sell leading brands in the plumbing industry. Associates with excellent customer service and communication skills are needed to make the customer's dream home become a reality. Responsibilities include meeting with customers doing full house selections, as well as assisting walk-in customers.
All candidates must be detail-oriented with the ability to learn operational procedures, able to follow written and verbal directions, and be able to effectively communicate with department personnel. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Preferred candidate will have record keeping and basic inventory control experience. Top candidate will have knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and posses the ability to operate a forklift. Individual must be safety oriented, help maintain a clean & organized facility, and perform other assigned duties. Computer and radio frequency gun experience a plus. Knowledge of freight line and UPS/FEDEX shipping also a plus!
Local market knowledge and experience in plumbing is preferable, but a willingness to learn is a must have. Individual must have good customer service skills, be able to meet deadlines, build relationships and enjoy a team atmosphere. As a counter salesperson, your responsibilities will include taking customer sales orders, picking and consolidating orders, stocking the counter area, and building relationships with our customers and associates. Computer and radio frequency gun experience a plus!
Are you looking for a sales career that is both rewarding and fulfilling? Do you have a natural ability for developing relationships and working with customers to provide them with the best service in the business? Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years selling experience, computer experience and detail oriented. Familiarity with plumbing, industrial pipe, valves and fittings will be helpful but not necessary. The successful candidate will think outside the box, is able to continue to maintain current relationships while building new clients, and have the ability to close.
Essential duties and responsibilities would include loading and unloading, driving, completing the route, and maintaining accurate paperwork. Qualified candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation within the last 3 years, possess the ability to work independently, have good customer service skills, and maintain a professional appearance. Individual must be able to pass a criminal background check, DOT physical/drug test, and be able to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly. Preferred qualification is at least 1 year of commercial driving experience. Candidates with valid Class C driver's license or CDL a plus!
