Rather than removing beneficial minerals like old-fashioned salt softeners, the NuvoH2O system uses a citrus-based formula, called CitraCharge, to bind hard minerals. Once bound to CitraCharge the minerals cannot form scale. It can even extend the life of costly water heaters. There’s no change in your water’s taste either. The Home Water Softener is designed for homes with less than 1,500 square feet. Cartridge replacement is recommended every 6 months.

The only solution you need for your hard water problems is the NuvoH2O salt-free water softener. NuvoH2O delivers hard water solutions in two ways, both without salt: First, instead of removing calcium like old-fashioned salt softeners, the NuvoH2O system chelates (binds) and sequesters (isolates) the calcium ions, rendering them incapable to bond to surfaces on/in your faucets, appliances, pipes, shower doors and heating elements.. Once bound to CitraCharge®, the NuvoH2O chelant, the mineral cannot form scale. Second, NuvoH2O lowers the measured pH of the water, which works alongside the mineral chelation in reducing or eliminating scale formation. The NuvoH2O Salt-Free Water Softeners offer hard water solutions by using a process called “chelation”. Chelation involves the binding or stabilization of mineral ions naturally found in hard water. The chelating agent in our CitraCharge® technology creates a ring structure that binds the mineral ions to the CitraCharge instead of other minerals, which is what typically causes scale and hard-water deposits. Our CitraCharge formula stops the mineral ions from causing hard water problems by separating the typically troublesome minerals, so instead of attaching to the metal in the pipes, water can pass through easily. Since they’re bound, those minerals also freely wash away from your body, hair, dishes, pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
